Dr. Miller is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only board recognized by the American Medical Association. He received his undergraduate degree in foreign languages at The Citadel Military College in Charleston, South Carolina and served in the U.S. Army. He attended the University of Texas Graduate School and received a graduate degree in immunochemistry and then earned his medical degree from the University of Texas in Galveston.
Dr. Miller’s general surgery residency and plastic surgery fellowship were both performed at Bowman Gray Medical Center at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. He has been in private practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma since 1985. Dr. Miller is also an Associate Professor in Surgery at the OU medical school and has received several teaching awards. He has co-authored a book chapter on breast reconstruction, has published scientific articles in renowned scientific journals and presented scientific papers at national medical meetings.
Dr. Miller holds original patents for a reconstructive breast implant and sternal closure device for heart patients. He has designed a breast retractor and created/designed a nipple reconstruction technique for mastectomy patients. Dr. Miller is a member of The American Medical Association and The Tulsa Surgical Society. Dr. Miller has been elected as a fellow to The American College of Surgeons. He is a charter member of The American Society of Pediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is one of the few U.S. recipients of The Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery, awarded by The Aesthetic Board of The Cosmetic Surgery Society. He has been selected in 2003 and 2004 as one of Oklahoma’s best doctors.
Dr. Miller is an experienced plastic surgeon familiar with all of the current techniques in cosmetic surgery. His office nurse is a Registered Nurse with certification in Plastic Surgery and is available to help educate and assist you in your skin care to maximize your beauty potential.
