Dean, James W., M.D.

EDUCATION:

James W. Dean, MD, graduated from Baylor University and received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. His Internal Medicine internship was completed at the University of Nevada School of Medicine followed by a Neurology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Dean also completed a Neuromuscular Disorder/EMG fellowship program at the University of California Medical Center.

Dr. Dean participates in extensive research regarding treatment of migraine headaches and lectures regularly on stroke care and t-PA guidelines.

Dr. Dean is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Medical Association, Tulsa County Medical Association and the Oklahoma State Medical Association.  He is a former member of the Dallas County Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association and the Tulsa Metropolitan Division of the American Heart Association Board of Directors. In 2001, he achieved board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
